Our Story

A team built by real hotel floors, not just classrooms

We're a small crew of third-year hospitality students who spent our placements on the floors of some of the industry's most respected names at Westin, at AC, and at Protea. We carried trays before we studied service theory. We learned to read a guest's mood before we learned the vocabulary for it.

This event is what happens when eight people who've each seen hospitality done differently sit down and ask: "What would we build, if it were entirely ours?"

A Parisian brunch, built from scratch by our own hands

Canapés plated the way we were trained to plate them. Wine and cheese, paired with intention. A live saxophonist, because atmosphere is a service standard too. A silent auction, because good hospitality always makes room for generosity.

Nothing here was outsourced to a caterer or handed to us as a template. Every dish, every detail, every decision was made by our team, which means every success (and every risk) is genuinely ours.

A room transformed, not just rented

We're turning a familiar space into somewhere our guests won't recognize. Table styling, lighting, and music chosen to transport people to a Parisian morning, if only for one afternoon. CPUT Hotel School Restaurant.

Because hospitality deserves to be felt, not graded

We could have written a report. Presented a slide deck. Called it done. Instead, we wanted to prove to ourselves, to our mentors, and to everyone who walks through the door that what we've learned isn't theory sitting in a textbook. It's real. It's ours. And it's ready to be shared.

This event is our answer to a simple question: if hospitality is the art of making someone feel welcome, what happens when the people practicing it actually mean it?
